A mandate was issued to induct Lewis Owen to the vicarage of Hoxne on the 13th August 1591 on the presentation of Sir Robert Southwell.
He married Cicely Shipdim in Hoxne on the 12th October 1591.They had one child, Nathaniel, who was baptised on the 22nd August 1593.
Lewis was buried in Hoxne on the 20th September 1594. His son, Nathaniel, continued to live in Hoxne until his death and was buried on the 19th August 1678.
